Intrepid Workshop - ASEG PESA

G1: Tensor Processing: Gradient Processing

This course provides participants with an introduction to quality control, gridding and filtering of vector and full tensor datasets. You will learn to assess the quality of a tensor survey, interpret tensor data and optimise the signal content through linear differential de-noising [MITRE] and other methods.

Saturday 21 August 2010
8.30 am - 5 pm
Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

GeoModeller Workshop - ASEG PESA

G6: GeoModeller: Building a 3D Geology Model - Reconciled with Gravity / Magnetic Tensor Data

This one day workshop will initially introduce the 3D GeoModeller approach to building a 3D geology model. Users will add new geology data, and revise their interpretive ideas, and will learn that geology models can be easily revised and improved.

Friday 27 August 2010
8.30 am - 5 pm
Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

Gridmerge Compilation

Gridding

Grids of any size can be processed. GeoIntrepid offer a number of advanced gridding options for your data. In addition to standard bi-cubic splining and minimum curvature methods, we also offer a variable density gridding option. This method delivers optimum results for data with variable spacing.

Grids can also be generated from multiple datasets, thus removing the need to have all the data in a single dataset. This reduces the complexity of the processing sequence. Magnetic gradient enhancement gridding is also available. We make use of the collected gradient data to create a grid with enhanced resolution, compared to the gridded single sensor data.

Grid Merging

Errors of more than 1000 metres in XY position, and up to 50 metres in elevation are not uncommon
when merging geophysical data sets. The INTREPID GridMerge tool allows grids from different surveys to
be amalgamated, using best fit techniques. This tool allows hundreds of grids to be processed in a
single job, resulting in a huge gain in productivity. The GridMerge tool can also be used on satellite
data (eg: Astor, Landsat).
