Intrepid Workshop - ASEG PESA

G1: Tensor Processing: Gradient Processing

This course provides participants with an introduction to quality control, gridding and filtering of vector and full tensor datasets. You will learn to assess the quality of a tensor survey, interpret tensor data and optimise the signal content through linear differential de-noising [MITRE] and other methods.

Saturday 21 August 2010
8.30 am - 5 pm
Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

GeoModeller Workshop - ASEG PESA

G6: GeoModeller: Building a 3D Geology Model - Reconciled with Gravity / Magnetic Tensor Data

This one day workshop will initially introduce the 3D GeoModeller approach to building a 3D geology model. Users will add new geology data, and revise their interpretive ideas, and will learn that geology models can be easily revised and improved.

Friday 27 August 2010
8.30 am - 5 pm
Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

Data Conversion

Data input and data conversion

GeoIntrepid can accept data in a wide range of formats and on different media. If your data format is non-standard we can customise our software to process it.

GeoIntrepid converts all NTGS data to ASEG-GDF2

*** Bonus for explorers! GeoIntrepid has converted the entire NTGS airborne database to standard ASEG-GDF2 data format.

All NTGS airborne surveys are now available for download from GADDS and also on DVD from NTGS in ASEG-GDF2 format for easy auto importing. This includes the standard field names, such as TMI, TC, K, U, Th, and full preservation of survey metadata to ensure 'future-proofing'.

Datums and Projections

INTREPID supports the internationally recognised POSC standard for Datums and Projections. We support over 800 Datums and Projections and this is continually being updated. If you have a new Projection, we can support it! Local projections can easily be defined. With the continuing improvements in surveying and the emerging of standards for Geodesy, full 3-D adjustments can be made.

Data Output

General

GeoIntrepid can deliver data in a wide range of LOCATED and GRID and IMAGE formats. Survey metadata is preserved during processing and is included in digital output. A range of digital formats suitable for integration in UNIX and PC systems (Postscript, PDF, TIFF, Windows metafiles, HPGL2, etc) can be supplied.

Map composition

GeoIntrepid can generate HIGH QUALITY detailed maps. Maps can include colour images, contours, line profiles, flight/ship tracks, ERMapper *.alg files, permit boundaries, well locations, survey outlines, interpretation linework, coastlines, detailed legends and titles, etc. High quality output can be generated in a variety of forms: plotter, inkjet and photographic.
